Warm and Bright in Scarsdale

Color and pattern filled the house when we first started, years later they became art collectors and the decor now has a supporting role!    

We started with very little furniture, furnishings and accessories when the family first moved from their NY apartment to Scarsdale.  Initially, we had to do a lot of decorating with paint and then fill in! Carol loved colours and the family was kinetic, so pattern and personality were appreciated!  The living room was calm with seating by Barbara Barry, an antique Asian chest, and a beautiful baby grand were the focal points.  The starting point for the dining room was a fuchsia Chinese Deco vintage carpet with yellow and pink silk Damask drapes and yellow Damask wallpaper.  Yellow was a favourite, but then there were many favourites and still are!
