Projects are customized to the clients goals, timeline and budget. The scale and scope of the job is articulated and a proposal written.

A retainer is established based on a percentage of the budget.


House Calls offers custom design and decorating recommendations for a package price.
It's 4 basic steps:  
--Step 1.  Information gathering.  The client describes what they want to achieve and provides us with visuals to explain style preferences; is a great resource for visuals.
--Step 2.  A 2 hour consulting session in your home.
--Step 3.  We write the report and add visuals, to "paint a picture" of a color and design scheme. 
--Step 4.  In-home review.

The fee covers our appointment, the written report and the follow up appointment.

The report is tailored to your goals. It includes design/style recommendations as well as product and service suggestions. The report will respond to your questions with visual aids, including indications for furniture layouts, color schemes, window treatments, lighting, furnishings, and styling. 

Actual to-scale furniture layouts and drawings-to-scale are not included but can be done on request. 

Along with the scaled layouts additional services such as: budgets, shopping, purchasing, on-site installations are available at an hourly rate.  Hourly rate is $120.00.

If we are placing orders and purchasing merchandise from to-the-trade sources, there is a 30% commission added to trade pricing. Retail purchases are billed at retail prices. Vintage accessories may receive a markup if purchased below market value.

Are you painting this season? An in home color consultation will provide you with a cohesive color scheme for the interior or the exterior of your home. This service starts with a phone interview about your goals. We work with Farrow & Ball, Pratt & Lambert and Benjamin Moore and bring large color chips to the home appointment.  To achieve the mood desired, we assess many elements, the architecture, furnishings, lighting and fresh color palettes.  Colors, color combinations, trim colors and finishes recommended.  

Basic Color Consultation, 1 meeting to determine colors and trims for paint testing.  

Up to 4 rooms, in 2 hours, Fee: $300.00.  

Complete Consultation, 2 meetings, the second meeting includes testing colors and follow up with a paint schedule for your painting contractor. F

ee: $500.00


Travel time may apply.  

If further consultations are required beyond the Complete Consultation package, time billed at the hourly rate of $150.00. Purchase and delivery of paint can be arranged.

Introduction: If you are considering hiring a Designer, but first want to understand the Interior Design business; how best to work with a designer and how the “To the Trade”, business to business, showrooms work, let us give you a tour. We’ll show you the ropes and leave you with the right questions to ask and enough information to empower you to hire! Day rate: $500.00

Introduction and Search: Tell us what you are looking for and we will take you on a customized tour of “To the Trade” showrooms. You can see a variety of showrooms that appeal or use our service for purchasing specific pieces. We will need pictures and descriptions of what you most want to explore and find. Prep time: $250.00, Day rate for tour date: $500.00.

Commercial, Business to Business Services: Looking for a particular designer, product, manufacturer, or distributor? Do you want to see your competition? Are you looking to get a product produced or make connections within the Tri-State area? Let us know what or who you are looking for and what connections you want to make, if we can add value to your pursuit we will put a tour together. International client’s welcomed. Pricing for Professional Development services to be determined. 


Here's 5 services designed for Real Estate Agents to help market a residence. 
Four of these services are also available directly to homeowners. Call for specifics.

1.)  Top Ten List: Walk me through your new listing and I'll produce a Top Ten List that your homeowner's can tackle to improve the value of their property. (Available to Real Estate Agents, $250.00)

2.)  A Review: We review the property and create a written report/checklist of improvements that will make the most impact. This process starts with a budget, includes a visit, and photos.  The result is a checklist with description on what to do and whom to call, to get projects done. Call for pricing.

3.)  Styling: Styling services are most effective when a homeowner knows they are selling imminently and they are willing to turn over control of how their home looks and functions to get the best results from their sale. It's best if there is a reasonable budget for upgrades. It's a "use what you have" service. Pricing varies, usually starting at $500.

5.)  Gift Certificates:  Gift Certificates for a House Call or for a specific Interior Decorating consultation offers vision and provides resources.  We can consult for a specific need, like paint colors, or window treatments or do a styling session.  Let us know your budget and we will help you design your gift.  Starting at $250.
